With the starter switch in ON OR START, battery voltage
is applied to the automatic transmission mode switch
through the C-14 BACK UP TURN fuse. The automatic
transmission mode switch sends a signal to the power-
train control module (PCM) and the multi-plexed indica-
tor control unit corresponding to the gear selected. The
multi-plexed indicator control unit applies voltage to the
appropriate A/T shift indicator lamp in the meter as-
sembly, causing it to come on.
