2. Install the battery cable harness clips (1, 2) to the battery tray.  

3. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement (LH8) or Battery Replacement 

(LLR).  

STARTER MOTOR REPLACEMENT (LH8)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection 

and Connection.  

2. Remove the right front tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .  

3. Remove the engine wiring harness/positive battery cable terminal nut (4) and cable terminal 

(5) from the starter.  

4. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the starter motor.  

5. Remove the front propeller shaft. Refer to Front Propeller Shaft Replacement .

6. Remove the transmission cover bolt (1).

7. Remove the starter motor bolts.
