5 3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 4. With the scan tool, observe the park brake switch parameter in the Body Control Module Does the scan tool display RELEASED? Go to Step 7 Go to Step 6 6 Test the signal circuit of the park brake switch for a Go to Step 16 Go to Step 10 7 1. Turn OFF the ignition. 2. Remove the daytime running lamps (DRL) relay. 3. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire between battery positive voltage and the DRL supply Do the DRL illuminate? Go to Step 8 Go to Step 11 8 Test the DRL relay control circuit of the DRL relay Go to Step 14 Go to Step 9 9 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector Go to Step 16 Go to Step 12 10 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector Go to Step 16 Go to Step 13 11 Repair the DRL supply voltage circuit. Refer to Go to Step 16 - 12 Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module IMPORTANT: Perform the setup procedure for the BCM. Go to Step 16 - 13 Replace the park brake switch.
