The body control module (BCM) monitors the park lamp switch on signal circuit and the headlamp switch Conditions for Running the DTC The battery voltage must be between 9.0-16.0 volts. Conditions for Setting the DTC z The headlamp switch park lamps ON signal circuit is open or has a high resistance. z The headlamp switch headlamps ON signal circuit is shorted to ground. Action Taken When the DTC Sets The park lamps will not operate or the headlamps will illuminate without the park lamps. Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC z This DTC will clear on current status after the condition for setting the fault is corrected. z A history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles without a fault present. z History and current DTCs can be cleared using a scan tool.
