7. Wipe the indicator with a clean cloth.  

8. Install the oil level indicator.  

9. Remove the oil level indicator in order to check the level.  

10. Add oil if necessary.  

11. Close the hood.  

DRAINING FLUIDS AND OIL FILTER REMOVAL 

Tools Required 

J 41712 Oil Pressure Switch Socket

1. Remove the oil pan drain plug and allow the oil to drain.

IMPORTANT: In order to completely drain the oil, the bottom of the oil pan must be level 

during the oil drain procedure.

2. Remove the engine oil filter.

3. Remove the right rear engine block coolant drain hole plug and allow the coolant to drain.

4. Remove the left front engine block coolant drain hole plug, if applicable, and allow the coolant to drain.
