When the accessory power socket is not in use, close
the cover to prevent any small foreign objects from

The seat heaters can be used when the power
mode is in ON.

Press the seat heater button:
Once - The HI setting (three indicators on)
Twice - The MID setting (two indicators on)
Three times - The LO setting (one indicator on)
Four times - The OFF setting (no indicators on)

When the power mode is turned on after it is
turned off, the previous setting is maintained.

Press the

AUTO

button:

Both the air conditioner and seat temperature
will automatically change to the setting most
suitable to the ambient environment.

When any seat heater button is pressed,
settings will switch to manual mode.

Front Seat Heaters

Front Seat Heaters

Do not use the seat heaters even in LO when the
engine is off. Under such conditions, the battery may
be weakened, making the engine difficult to start.

After a certain period of time, the strength setting for
the front seat heaters will automatically be reduced
by one level at a time until the front seat heaters shut
off. The elapsed time varies according to the interior
environment.

As time passes, the set temperature will fall, and
eventually the seat heater will shut off.

The seat heater may turn on if sensors detect weight
on the passenger seat due to luggage, etc.

To prevent automatic activation, you can turn off
automatic climate control for the front seat.

Climate Control System

Using Automatic Climate Control

The automatic climate control system maintains the interior temperature you select.
The system also selects the proper mix of heated or cooled air that raises or lowers
the interior temperature to your preference as quickly as possible.

Use the system when the engine is running.

Press the

AUTO

button.

Adjust the interior temperature using the driver’s side or passenger’s side control
dial.

Press the

(ON/OFF) button to cancel.

Using Automatic Climate Control

If any buttons are pressed while using the climate
control system in auto, the function of the button
that was pressed will take priority.
The auto button indicator

will go

off, but functions unrelated to the button that was
pressed will be controlled automatically.

During idle-stops, air-conditioning is suspended, and
only the blower remains active.
If you do not want air-conditioning suspended, press
the Auto Idle Stop

To prevent cold air from blowing in from outside, the
fan may not start immediately when the

AUTO

button is pressed.

If the interior is very warm, you can cool it down
more rapidly by partially opening the windows,
turning the system on auto, and setting the
temperature to low. Change the fresh air mode to
recirculation mode until the temperature cools down.

When you set the temperature to the lower or upper
limit,

is displayed.

Pressing the

button switches the climate

control system between on and off. When turned on,
the system returns to your last selection.

While ECON mode is active, the climate control
system may have reduced cooling performance.

Press the

(recirculation) button and switch the mode depending on

environmental conditions.
Recirculation mode (indicator on): Recirculates air from the vehicle’s interior through
the system.
Fresh air mode (indicator off): Maintains outside ventilation. Keep the system in
fresh air mode in normal situations.

Pressing the

button turns the air

conditioning system on and automatically
switches the system to fresh air mode.

Press the

button again to turn off, the

system returns to the previous settings.

Defrosting the Windshield and Windows

Defrosting the Windshield and Windows

For your safety, make sure you have a clear view
through all the windows before driving.

Do not set the temperature near the lower limit.
When cold air hits the windshield, the outside of the
windshield may fog up.

If you press the

button during Auto Idle Stop, the

engine restarts automatically.

control dial to return to dual mode.

The USB port

(3.0A) is for charging

devices, playing audio files, and connecting
compatible phones with Apple CarPlay or
Android Auto.

To prevent any potential issues, be sure
to use an Apple MFi Certified Lightning
Connector for Apple CarPlay, and for
Android Auto, the USB cables should be
certified by USB-IF to be compliant with
USB 2.0 Standard.

The USB port

(3.0A) is only for charging

devices.

You cannot play music even if you have
connected music players to it.

USB Ports

Do not leave the iPod or USB flash drive in the
vehicle. Direct sunlight and high temperatures may
damage it.

•

We recommend that you use a USB cable if you are
attaching a USB flash drive to the USB port.

•

Do not connect the iPod or USB flash drive using a
hub.

•

Do not use a device such as a card reader or hard
disk drive, as the device or your files may be
damaged.

•

We recommend backing up your data before using
the device in your vehicle.

•

Displayed messages may vary depending on the
device model and software version.

The USB port can supply up to 3.0A of power. It does
not output 3.0A unless requested by the device.
For amperage details, read the operating manual of
the device that needs to be charged.

Under certain conditions, a device connected to the
port may generate noise to the radio station you are
listening to.

Audio System Theft Protection

The audio system is disabled when it is disconnected from the power source, such as
when the battery is disconnected or goes dead. In certain conditions, the system
may display a code entry screen. If this occurs, reactivate the audio system.

Reactivating the audio system

Set the power mode to ON.

Turn on the audio system.

Press and hold the

VOL/

AUDIO

(Volume/Power) knob for more than two

seconds.

The audio system is reactivated when the audio control unit establishes a
connection with the vehicle control unit. If the control unit fails to recognize
the audio unit, you must go to a dealer and have the audio unit checked.
