GENERAL INFORMATION
This Parts catalog has been prepared for your convenience when ordering
parts for IEGGERO Models M and MS Wherever possible parts are shown in
assembly breakdown sequence. Index numbers shown in the illustrations
correspond to index numbers in parts lists. Consult the illustrations
when ordering parts so you are sure to get just what you want. Only the
latest parts are shown in the illustrations, however, pans lists cover
all parts used from 1965 to 1970.
Number in parenthesis following description of part is the quantity
needed for complete assembly shown in illustration. If there is no
number in parenthesis, only one is used.
Package quantities are also indicated in parenthesis for certain parts
which are only supplied this way.
Prices of all parts and accessories listed in this catalog are published
separately in the latest RETAIL PRICE LIST.
The following instructions should be followed very carefully when
ordering spare parts.
• Specify the correct part number on each item. Check the "Used On"
column of the parts list which
shows the model on which the part fits. Whenever in doubt, refer to the
serial number stamped on the
engine crankcase.
Two types of serial numbers are used:
1. 1969 and earlier: Serial number is located on the engine left
crankcase. The first three or four
digits represent the year and model - the same as shown in the ' Used
On” column in this
catalog.
2. 1970 and later: Serial number (V.I.N. number) is located on the
engine right crankcase and is
the same as the frame number located on the right side of the frame down
tube.
The V.I.N. (vehicle identification numbers) for LEGGERO models are as
follows.
• Part-Numbers are to be used when ordering by TELEGRAM or CABLE.
• When ordering parts use our standard parts order blank Part No.
99511-62. for all parts except engines and crankcases. Order blank Part
No. 99514-69 must be used for engines and crankcases. The use of these
blanks will enable us to fill and ship your order more promptly. These
blanks are furnished free of charge upon request.
• Do not order motorcycles or advertising matter on Parts Order Blanks.
Write nothing on the order blank except the order itself, as any other
correspondence will not be answered until the order is shipped and
billed.
• Freight, Express and Parcel Post orders should be on separate order
blanks.
• For your own records, number and date all orders, also keep a carbon
copy for reference in case of misunderstanding.
