No. 167 Steering wheel not well back to original position   

Malfunction  

Causes 

Solution  

1. Tire pressure too low;   

Check tire pressure is too low; if so, add pressure to 
specified scope;   

Check tie-rod ball head is rusty, jammed; if so, lubricate 
or replace it;   

2. Tie-rod ball head, and ball head of lower swing 
arm rusty, jammed;   

Check ball head of lower swing arm is rusty, jammed; if 
so, lubricate or replace it; 

3. Pressure bearing lack of lubrication or 
damaged;  

Check pressure bearing is lack of lubricating oil or 
damaged; if so lubricate or replace it;   

4. Meshing clearance of steering gear too small;  Check meshing clearance is too small; if so, adjust it; 

5. Steering column bent or blocked;   

Check steering column is bent or blocked; if so, correct 
or replace it;   

Steering wheel not 
well back to

6. Positional parameter of front wheel incorrect 

Check positional parameter of front wheel is incorrect;

Malfunction Causes 

Solution 

Shaking steering 

1. Power steering pump belt too loosening; 

Check power steering pump belt is too 
loosening; if so, adjust it. 

2. Lack of steering oil; 

Check it is lack of steering oil; if so, add it; 

3. Power steering pump damaged; 

Check power steering pump is damaged; if so, 
replace it 

4. Power steering gear clearance too large or 
damaged 

Check power steering gear clearance is too 
large or damaged; if so, adjust or replace it; 

Abnormal sound while 
steering 

5. Ball head of lower swing arm malfunction 

Check ball head is rusty or jammed; if so, 
lubricate or replace it; 

 

Power steering with 

abnormal sound

Malfunction Causes 

Solution 

1. Connecting screws of front suspension 
loosening or damaged;   

Check connecting screws of front suspension loosening or 
damaged; if so, fasten or replace it;   

2. Wheel and wheel parts abraded while 
steering  

Check wheel and wheel parts are abraded while steering; if 
so, adjust and repair it; 

3. Steering gear looseningly installed;   

Check steering gear is looseningly installed; if so, fasten it;   

4. Front wheel incorrectly positioned;   

Check front wheel is incorrectly positioned; if so adjust it;   

Steering wheel 
shaking while 
steering during

5. Electric power assisted steering motor 
shaking 

Replace steering column with motor assembly;   

 
No. 170 Steering power insufficient (hydraulic)   

Malfunction Causes 

Solution 

1. Power-assisted steering pump belt too 
loosening or damaged;   

Check power-assisted steering pump belt is too 
loosening or damaged; if so, adjust or replace it; 

2. Lack of power steering oil;   

Check it is lack of power steering oil; if so, add it;   

3. Power steering pump damaged;   

Check power steering pump is damaged; if so, replace 
it;  

4. Hydraulic booster system with air   

Empty the air inside the hydraulic booster system;     

5. Hydraulic pipe distorted, scrimped or cracked, 
oil leaking;   

Repair abnormal parts;   

Steering wheel not 
well back to

6. Power steering gear damaged;   

Check power steering gear is damaged; if so, replace it;
