CHECK the operation of the No LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in circuit SBB22A (BN/RD) between the U6: CHECK THE GROUND CONNECTION OF THE LIGHT SWITCH UNIT Measure the resistance between the light switch unit, connector C2LF23-D, 1 Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohms registered? GO to U7 . No LOCATE and REPAIR the open circuit between the light switch unit and U7: CHECK THE CIRCUIT BETWEEN THE LIGHT SWITCH UNIT AND THE GEM FOR CAUTION: The following measurement must only be performed using the Ford approved diagnostic tool digital multimeter. Failure to observe this instruction can lead to Disconnect Connector C1BP02-C from the GEM. 1 Measure the resistance between the light switch unit, connector C2LF23-D, C1BP02-C, pin 52, circuit VLF25A (GN/VT), wiring harness side. 2 Is a resistance of less than 2 Ohms registered? GO to U8 . No LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in circuit VLF25A (GN/VT) between the U8: CHECK THE LIN BUS FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE SUPPLY Ignition switch in position II. 1 Measure the voltage between the light switch unit, connector C2LF23-D, 2 Is a voltage measured? LOCATE and RECTIFY the short to voltage in circuit VLF25A (GN/VT) No GO to U9 . U9: CHECK THE LIN BUS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND Ignition switch in position 0. 1 Measure the resistance between the light switch unit, connector C2LF23-D, 2 Is a resistance of more than 10,000 Ohm measured? CHECK and if necessary RENEW the light switch unit. CHECK the operation No LOCATE and RECTIFY the short to ground in circuit VLF25A (GN/VT) |
