LOCATE and RECTIFY the break in the circuit PINPOINT TEST P : COLLISION WARNING MODULE NOT COMMUNICATING TEST CONDITIONS DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS P1: CHECK COMMUNICATION WITH THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) Ignition switch in position 0. 1 Connect the diagnostic tool. 2 Select the powertrain control module (PCM) with the Ford approved 3 Is it possible to establish communications with the PCM? GO to P2 . No GO to Pinpoint Test AK.
P2: CHECK FUSE F15 Ignition switch in position 0. 1 CHECK Fuse F15 (CJB). 2 Is the fuse OK? GO to P3 . No RENEW fuse F15 (10 A). CHECK the operation of the system. If the fuse P3: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT FUSE F15 Connect Fuse F15 (CJB). 1 Ignition switch in position II. 2 Measure the voltage between fuse F15 (10 A) and ground. 3 Does the meter display battery voltage? GO to P4 . No REPAIR the voltage supply to fuse F15 with the aid of the Wiring Diagrams. P4: CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE COLLISION WARNING MODULE Ignition switch in position 0. 1 Disconnect Connector C2MF01 from the collision warning module. 2 Ignition switch in position II. 3 Measure the voltage between the collision warning module, connector 4 Does the meter display battery voltage? GO to O6 . No GO to O5 . P5: CHECK FOR OPEN CIRCUIT BETWEEN THE CJB AND THE COLLISION WARNING Ignition switch in position 0. 1 Disconnect Connector C1BP02-C from the CJB. 2 Measure the resistance between the CJB, connector C1BP02-C, pin 55, module, connector C2MF01, pin 15, circuit CBP15A (BN/BU), wiring harness 3 |
