Installation 

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. 

  

Engine Cooling - 1.8L Duratorq-TDCi

trim 
panel 
lower 
clips.

4. Assemble and install the special tools. 

Special Tool(s):

5. Torque: 80 Nm 

6. Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts. 

Torque: 

23 Nm 

7. Drain the cooling system. 

 

  

 

  

Installation 

Refer to:

8. Remove the accessory drive belt.

9. Lower the vehicle. 

10. Torque: 

Engine front mount bracket bolts 28 Nm 
Timing belt cover bolts 7 Nm 

11. Fabricate a timing belt shield. 

General Equipment:

12. Protect the timing belt. 

General Equipment: 

Laminated card

 

Torque: 

10 Nm 

13.   

1. Torque: 23 Nm 
2. Torque: 10 Nm 

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

2. Bleed the cooling system.
