MASTER CYLINDER 

Removal & Installation 

1. Disconnect the brake fluid level warning switch. See Fig. 86 .  

2. If equipped with speed control, disconnect the brake pressure switch harness connector. See Fig. 87 .  

3. Disconnect the two brake lines and plug the lines and the brake master cylinder ports.  

4. On vehicles equipped with the Rear Anti-Lock Brake System (RABS), remove the RABS valve. 

Disconnect the RABS valve harness connector. See Fig. 88 . Disconnect the 2 hydraulic lines and plug 
them. Remove the two RABS valve nuts. Remove the RABS valve.  

5. Remove the two brake master cylinder nuts. Remove the brake master cylinder.  

6. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE 

SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed brakes. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
