FLOOR DISTRIBUTION DUCT REMOVAL WARNING: On vehicles equipped with airbags, dis- (1) Remove the instrument panel (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL). (2) Remove the one screw and one nut that secure the floor distribution duct to the dash panel (Fig. 6). (3) Disconnect the floor distribution duct from HVAC housing. (4) Remove the floor distribution duct from the vehicle. INSTALLATION (1) Position the floor distribution duct into the vehicle. (2) Connect the floor distribution duct to the HVAC housing. (3) Install the one screw and one nut that secure the floor distribution duct to the dash panel. Tighten (4) Install the instrument panel (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY - INSTALLATION). (5) Reconnect the negative battery cable. HVAC HOUSING REMOVAL WARNING: On vehicles equipped with airbags, dis- NOTE: The HVAC housing must be removed from (1) Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. (2) Recover refrigerant from the refrigerant system (Refer to 24 - HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING/ (3) Drain the engine cooling system (Refer to 7 - COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE). (4) Remove the four scews that secure the air inlet plenum to the dash panel in the engine compartment (5) Remove the air inlet plenum from the engine compartment. (6) Disconnect the liquid and suction line from the A/C evaporator (Refer to 24 - HEATING & AIR CON- LINE - REMOVAL) and (Refer to 24 - HEATING & AIR LINE - REMOVAL). (7) Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes (Refer to 24 - HEATING & AIR CONDI- INLET HOSE - REMOVAL) and (Refer to 24 - HEATING & AIR Fig. 6 Floor Distribution Duct 1 - DASH PANEL 24 - 30 DISTRIBUTION ZB |
