DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - INSTRUMENT Every time the vehicle is switched to the START/ RUN position, the cluster and gauge pack goes To diagnose the cluster lamps place the cluster in self-diagnostic mode (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/IN- STANDARD PROCEDURE STANDARD PROCEDURE - ENHANCED SEAT The steps must be performed within the first sixty seconds of the ignition switch being placed in the (1) With the ignition switch not in the RUN posi- tion (OFF), buckle the seat belt. This will “sweep” all the pointers to the correct side of the REMOVAL Follow all Warnings for airbag component service (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - WARN- (1) Open deck lid. cover and remove cover. (3) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. (4) Wait two minutes for the airbag system reserve capacitor to discharge before beginning any airbag (5) Remove center console (Refer to 23 - BODY/IN- TERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - REMOVAL). (6) Remove six screws and disconnect three electri- cal connectors to instrument panel center bezel and (7) Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755) or equivalent, gently pry out on cluster bezel. (8) Disconnect one electrical connector and remove cluster bezel from vehicle. (9) Remove four screws and two electrical connec- tors to the instrument cluster and remove from INSTALLATION Follow all Warnings for airbag component service (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - WARN- (1) Install four screws and two electrical connec- tors to the instrument cluster. (2) Connect one electrical connector on cluster bezel, place in position over retaining slots and (3) Connect one electrical connector to instrument panel center bezel and install six screws to center (4) Install center console (Refer to 23 - BODY/IN- TERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - INSTALLATION).
