P0581-SPEED CONTROL SWITCH 1 CIRCUIT HIGH (3.7L,4.7L) (CONTINUED) 4. (V37) S/C SWITCH NO.1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE Connect the Clockspring harness connectors per Service Information. Disconnect the C2 and C3 PCM harness connectors. Ignition on, engine not running. Measure the voltage on the (V37) S/C Switch No.1 Signal circuit in the Is the voltage above 5.3 volts? Yes >> Repair the short to battery voltage in the (V37) S/C Switch No.1 Signal circuit. Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer No >> Go To 5 5. (V37) S/C SWITCH NO.1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN BETWEEN PCM AND CLOCKSPRING Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the upper and lower Clockspring harness connectors per CAUTION: Do not probe the PCM harness connectors. Probing Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms? Yes >> Go To 6 No >> Repair the open in the (V37) S/C Switch No.1 Signal cir- cuit between the PCM and Clockspring. Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.
