10. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, remove

the trim and remove the bolt at the upper rear of
the fender.

11. Remove the upper fender bolt support bolt to the

hood hinge.

12. Remove the front end sheet metal mounting bolts.

13. Slide the fender off the front end sheet metal

mounting support.

INSTALLATION

1. When installing the left side fender, position the

fender onto the Front End Sheet Metal mounting
hydroform and slide under the power distribution
center.

2. When installing the right side fender, position the

fender onto the FESM mounting hydroform and
slide under the battery tray and air cleaner mount-
ing brackets.

NOTE: Tighten the fender fasteners only after all
fasteners are installed loosely and fender is
adjusted for gap and flush, using the sequence
provided at the end of the installation procedure.

3. Loosely install the upper FESM mounting bolts.

4. Loosely install the bolt attaching the rear upper

fender to the hood hinge.

5. Loosely install the bolt attaching the rear upper

fender to the a-pillar.

6. Loosely install the two bolts located in the head-

lamp opening.

7. Loosely install the bolt located inside the wheel

well.

8. Loosely install the two lower bolts located at the

a-pillar.

9. Check

the

fender

positioning

and

adjust

as

required by adding shims. (Refer to 23 - BODY/
BODY STRUCTURE/GAP AND FLUSH - SPECIFI-
CATIONS)

10. Tighten the fender bolts to 8 N·m (75 in. lbs.)

using the sequence shown.
