C1008–BRAKE FLUID LEVEL INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH (CONTINUED) 4. CHECK (B20) BRAKE FLUID LEVEL SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Anti-Lock Brake Module harness connector. Disconnect the Brake Fluid Level Sensor harness connector. Connect a jumper wire between the (B20) Brake Fluid Level Switch Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, probe the (B20) Brake Does the test light illuminate brightly? Yes >> Go To 5 No >> Repair the (B20) Brake Fluid Level Switch Sense circuit for an open. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. 5. CHECK (Z420) GROUND CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Brake Fluid Level Sensor harness connector. Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, probe the (Z420) Does the test light illuminate brightly? Yes >> Go To 6 No >> Repair the (Z420) Ground circuit for an open. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. 6. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL SENSOR FOR AN OPEN Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the Brake Fluid Level Sensor harness connector. Measure the resistance between the Brake Fluid Level Sensor terminals. Is the resistance above 11.0k ohms? Yes >> Replace the Brake Fluid Level Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. No >> Replace the Anti-Lock Brake Module in accordance with the Service Information. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. HB BRAKES - ABS ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTICS 5 - 107 |
