TYRE DEFLATION DETECTION

This function warns you of tyres that are defl ated or punctured, by means of sensors that continuously monitor the

status of the vehicle's wheels, giving you this information on the screen (press the end of the wiper control stalk or on

the "TRIP" button for a permanent display).

Tyre defl ated

Stop immediately, avoiding any sudden actions with the steering wheel or the brakes.
Change the wheel with the affected tyre (whether punctured or very defl ated), then have the tyre repaired and

all the pressures checked at the earliest opportunity.
The wheel with a damaged tyre (either in the boot or under repair) can no longer be detected (information

given by the vehicle outline or by a message) nor is the spare wheel able to be detected.

Puncture

The "STOP" and tyre(s) punctured warning lamps light up, and a vehicle outline is displayed. The location of the

wheel(s) concerned is clear from the vehicle outline, on which the affected wheel(s) will be fl ashing.

Wheel not detected

The SERVICE warning lamp comes on and a vehicle outline is displayed.
The wheel(s) concerned can be identifi ed from the vehicle outline, on which it (they) will be missing. If you have not

changed a wheel, such information indicates that the system is malfunctioning.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualifi ed workshop for the replacement of the faulty sensor(s).

Colour screen C

The defl ation detection system is a driving aid, but which does not absolve the driver from the need to be vigilant and

responsible.
This system does not remove the need to check the tyres on a regular basis (see "Vehicle identifi cation"), to make

sure that the vehicle is behaving correctly and to avoid premature tyre wear arising from driving too fast etc.
Do not forget to check the pressure in the spare wheel.

All repairs or replacement of tyres on wheels fi tted with sensors must be done by a CITROËN dealer

or a qualifi ed workshop.
The system may suffer from temporary interference caused by radio transmissions on neighbouring

frequencies.

The hazard lamps can also be

used with the ignition switched off.

SOUND SIGNAL FOR HEAD-

This signal does not operate if the

automatic lighting  of headlamps

In fog or snow, the light sensor

may detect enough light. The

lights will therefore not come on

automatically.
Take care not to cover the bright-

CHILD SAFETY

This deactivates the controls in the

rear of the vehicle, both for the rear

windows and for opening the rear

doors from the inside.
For  Pack  Lounge seats, the seat

slide adjustments, and those for

the front seats from the rear of the

vehicle, are also deactivated.

the child safety is activated.
It is still possible to open the doors

from the outside and to operate the

electric windows  from the  front  of

the vehicle.

ELECTRIC OPERATION

The driver uses the controls located

on the door to operate the vehicle’s

electric windows.

SEQUENTIAL OPERATION

An action on the control to the fi rst

notch causes a window movement

which stops as soon as the control

is released.
An  action  on the  control to the

second  notch  causes the window

to close or open completely, a fur-

ther press on the control stops the

movement.
Note: The  window  controls  also

operate for a limited time after you

have switched off the ignition.

ANTI-PINCH

An anti-pinch device stops the

window  from rising. If it meets an

obstacle, it goes back down.

ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE CHILDREN ARE WHEN

OPENING OR CLOSING THE WINDOWS

Always remove the ignition key when leaving the vehicle, even if  for a

short time.
Should there be any risk of a person becoming trapped by a window clos-

press on the control concerned.
If the driver is operating the electric window controls for passengers, he

or she should ensure that no passenger is obstructing the window from

closing.

OPERATION

The driver's and the front and rear

passengers' seats have sensors

that detect non-fastening/unfas-

tening of the seat belts.
The fastened/non-fastened status

of the seat belts for each type of

seat is indicated by the illumination

or fl ashing of the warning lamps 1,

2 and 3.

FUNCTIONING OF THE SYSTEM OF DETECTION

Driver's and front passenger's seats

When you switch on the ignition:

If the driver's seat belt is not fastened, the warning lamp 1 illuminates in

the instrument panel.
If the passenger's seat belt is not fastened, the warning lamp lights up.

Above 20 km/h (12 mph), the warning lamp fl ashes for non-fastening/unfas-

tening, accompanied by a message and a sound signal for around 2 minutes.

Then the warning lamp(s) and/or remain on.

Rear passenger's seats

When you switch on the ignition, warning lamp lights up to make the driver

and any passengers aware.
Once the doors are closed and the engine started, a message tells you the

fastening status of the rear belts for 30 seconds.
After this time, if one or more of the rear belts are not fastened:

Warning lamp comes on, if your speed is less than around 20 km/h

(12 mph).
Warning lamp 2 fl ashes, accompanied by a message and a sound signal

for about two minutes, if your speed is above around 20 km/h (12 mph).

Note:

The detection of non-fastening of rear seat belts is deactivated when

you switch off the ignition or if one of the vehicle's doors is opened.
A child seat installed on the front passenger's seat may not be

detected.

The driver, after he has closed the doors and started the engine, must

make sure that the passengers:

Have all fastened their seat belts
Are using the seat belts correctly.
