2. Press and fix the differential outer ring 

ith the speical tool MB990338 or

3. Fix the hydraulic torque converter onto 

e differential body without applying any 

alant. Tighten the set bolts with a

ote: make sure that the two short bolts 

re installed as the figure shows.  

5. Release the bolts and dismantle the 
ydraulic torque converter, bolts and 

lders.  

6. Measure the thickness of the flattened 

lder with a dial gauge. Add the 

lect the appropriate spacer thickness and 

en select the corresponding spacer from 
e table below that lists all adjusting 

acer thicknesses. Note: * indicates the

1. Fix the hydraulic torque converter and 

rew the 18 bolts with a tightening torque 

f 47Nm (4.7Kg-m). 

2. Fix the manual control lever and 
arking pawl rod.  
3. Fix the manual control lever shaft

7. Unfix clutch discs 

. Press the clutch offsetting spring with 

e special tool MD998907 and 

D998924. Then unfix snap ring of clutch 
ring hub.  

. Unfix spring hub of clutch

1. Unfix clutch offsetting spring. 
2. Unfix underdrive clutch piston with 

e aid of compressed air.

reaction plate with the outer hole of 
underdrive clutch bracket.
