2. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Replace any damaged clips.

Push the clip portions into place securely

COWL COVER REPLACEMENT

1. Remove these items:

a. Windshield wiper arms (see WIPER MOTOR REPLACEMENT )

b. Front fender trim, both sides (see FRONT FENDER TRIM REPLACEMENT )

2. Remove the hood rear seal (A) by pulling it out. Using a clip remover, detach the clip (B) from the cowl

covers. Take care not to scratch the cowl covers.

3. Detach the clips (C, D) by carefully pulling the passenger's cowl cover (E) upward, and release the hook

(F) on the passenger's cowl cover from the driver's, then remove the cover by releasing the hook (G).

Take care not to scratch the body.

4. Disconnect the windshield washer tubes (H).

5. Detach the clips (C, D) by carefully pulling the driver's cowl cover (I) upward, then remove the cover by

releasing the hooks (H). Take care not to scratch the body.

6. Install the covers in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Replace any damaged clips.

Make sure the washer tubes are connected securely.

Push the clip portions into place securely.

ROOF MOLDING REPLACEMENT

Molding Replacement

1. Remove the cowl cover (see COWL COVER REPLACEMENT ).

2. Remove the windshield portion of the roof molding (A).

a. Detach the bottom clip (B).

b. Carefully insert a flat-tip screwdriver in under the molding next to the lower clip (C).

c. Push the hooks (D) while pulling the molding up to release the clip from the retainer (E).

d. Gradually work your way up to release each of the upper clip (F, G, H).

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Use a flat-tip screwdriver wrapped with protective tape.

3. Pull up the middle portion of the roof molding (A) to release it from the retainers (B).

4. Pull up and release the rear end of the roof molding (A) from the pin (B), then remove the roof molding.
