Reset the ECM/PCM (see page 11-4). 2. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the 3. Raise the engine speed to 5,000 rpm. Go to step 4. Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at 4. Measure voltage between IMT (IMRC) solenoid valve 2P connector terminal No.1 and body ground. Go to step 11. Check the No. 4 ACG (10 A) fuse in the under- dash fuse/relay box.
