● Average vehicle speed

● Driving range

● Outside temperature display (if equipped)

Displays the average vehicle speed since the
engine was started.

Displays the estimated maximum distance that
can be driven with the quantity of fuel remaining.

• This distance is computed based on your aver-

age fuel consumption. As a result, the actual dis-
tance that can be driven may differ from that
displayed.

• When only a small amount of fuel is added to the

tank, the display may not be updated.

Displays the outside temperature.

The temperature range that can be displayed is
from -40°F (-40°C) to 122°F (50°C).

When the outside air temperature falls below 37°F
(3°C) while driving, the temperature display flashes
to indicate that the outside air temperature is

• When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/

When “--” is displayed, the system may be malfunctioning.
Have the vehicle inspected by your Scion dealer.

NOTICE

Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the liquid crystal

Daytime running light system (if equipped)

To make your vehicle more visible to other drivers, the headlights turn on
automatically (at a reduced intensity) whenever the engine is started and
the parking brake is released. Daytime running lights are not designed for
use at night.

Compared to turning on the headlights, the daytime running light system
offers greater durability and consumes less electricity, so it can help
improve fuel economy.

Light reminder buzzer

A buzzer sounds when the driver’s door is opened with the key removed
from the engine switch while the lights are turned on.

NOTICE

To prevent battery discharge

Do not leave the lights on longer than necessary when the engine is not run-
