Section 01 MAINTENANCE Subsection 02 (STORAGE) Drive Chain Tension Check drive chain tension and adjust if necessary, Chaincase Oil Replace chaincase oil, refer to DRIVE SYSTEM Drive Axle End Bearing Lubricate end housing bearing with suspension Countershaft Driven pulley and brake disc must be floating on CAUTION: Do not lubricate excessively as Track Visually inspect track for: – cuts and abnormal wear If track is damaged or rods are broken, replace For damaged or missing cleats, replace by new STEERING/FRONT SUSPENSION Steering and Front Suspension Lubricate the steering mechanism if needed. In- Wear and Condition of Skis and Inspect skis and runners for wear, deterioration or SUSPENSION Rear Suspension Lubrication Inspect rear suspension components for wear, de- Lubricate front and rear arms at grease fittings Suspension Stopper Strap Inspect strap for wear or cracks, bolt and nut for ELECTRICAL Battery (if so equipped) Remove battery, clean its tray and close area with Visually inspect battery casing for cracks, leaks or Charge battery as explained in ELECTRICAL sec- Wiring Harnesses, Cables and Lines Inspect for wear, deterioration or damage, replace VEHICLE Engine Compartment Keep clean of grass, twigs, cloth, etc. These are Vehicle Cleaning To facilitate the inspection and ensure adequate Remove any dirt or rust.
