(b) Adjust the cushion rubber so that the heights of the 

hood and the fender are equal.
(1) Raise or lower the hood front end by turning the 

cushion rubber. Make sure that the clearance is 
within the standard range.
HINT:
Raise or lower the cushion rubber by turning it.

(c) Adjust the hood lock.

(1) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the hood 

lock release lever protector.

(2) Loosen the 3 bolts.

(3) Adjust the hood lock position so that the striker 

can enter it smoothly.

(4) Tighten the 3 bolts after the adjustment.

Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

(5) Engage the 4 claws and install the hood lock 

release lever protector.

REMOVAL

HINT:
•

Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

•

The procedure described below is for the LH side.

1.

REMOVE HOOD SUPPORT
(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in 

protective tape, remove the 2 stop rings and the 
hood support.
NOTICE:
•

Do not touch the rod of the hood support with 
gloves, to avoid fibers from adhering.

•

When foreign matter adheres to the rod, it 
prevents the rod from moving smoothly and 
reduces its holding power.

HINT:
Support the hood by hand while removing the hood 
support.

INSTALLATION

1.

INSTALL HOOD SUPPORT
(a) Install the 2 stop rings onto the hood support.
(b) Install the hood support.
