3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL

Protective Tape

(a) Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

(b) Using moulding remover B, detach the 3 clips, 3 claws and 2

guides and remove the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel

sub-assembly.

4. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL

Protective Tape

(a) Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

(b) Using moulding remover B, detach the 3 clips, 3 claws and 2

guides and remove the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel

sub-assembly.

5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts.

(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the front No. 2 speaker

assembly LH.

NOTICE:

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts.

(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the front No. 2 speaker

assembly RH.

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

(a) When there is a malfunction such as noise from a speaker or no sound at all, replace the speaker with a

new one and check that the malfunction disappears.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.

HINT:

Connect the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies.
When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by
interchanging the right one with the left one.
Perform the inspection above on both the LH and RH sides.
