DISASSEMBLY

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the

battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal

notice before proceeding with work 

 

.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent

airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the inside

handle bezel.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL LH (w/ Power Window)

(a) Using a moulding remover A, detach the 2 clips and 5 claws, and

remove the front upper armrest base panel LH.

(b) Disconnect the master switch connector.

5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

(a) Insert a clip remover between the plate and trim.

(b) Turn the handle clockwise to remove the handle.

7. REMOVE FRONT LOWER DOOR FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH

(a) Detach the 3 clips and front lower door frame bracket garnish.

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER LH

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: FRONT DOOR (for Regular Cab): DISAS...

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

(c) Detach the 10 clips and remove the trim cover. Then disconnect the connector.

(d) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.

(e) Remove the inside handle.

10. REMOVE FRONT INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH

11. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH 

12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

13. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 DOOR TRIM BRACKET

(a) Remove the 2 screws and bracket.
