INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

(a) Install the ECU with the 2 screws.

Torque:

1.5 N·m {15 kgf·cm, 13in·lbf}

(b) Connect the 2 ECU connectors.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

3. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

4. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

5. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the steering column lower cover.

6. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER

STEERING COLUMN: MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU (...

(a) Attach the claw to install the upper steering column cover.

(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the upper steering cover onto the instrument panel cluster finish panel.

(c) Install the 2 screws.

Torque:

2.0 N·m {20 kgf·cm, 18in·lbf}

HINT:

Turn the steering wheel to the right and left as necessary to

install the 2 screws.

7. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque:

5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48in·lbf}

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable. some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
