INSTALLATION

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart

1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door courtesy switch with the screw.

(a) Disconnect the unlock warning switch connector.

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER (IGNITION

KEY CYLINDER LIGHT)

(a) Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the light

illumination condition.

OK:

CONDITION

SPECIFIED CONDITION

Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (ILL+)
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-)

Illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the transponder key

amplifier (ignition key cylinder light).
