OK: On tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.  

NG: Go to step 5 

OK: Go to Next Step  

3. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH 

a. Remove the mirror LH (see REMOVAL ).  

b. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the power mirror.

NG: REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH (see REMOVAL ) 

OK: Go to Next Step  

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU - OUTER REAR 

VIEW MIRROR LH) 

a. Disconnect the N8 ECU connector.  

b. Disconnect the N5 mirror connector.  

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. 

Standard resistance

OK: REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU (See DISASSEMBLY ) 

5. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

a. Remove the switch (see REMOVAL ).  

b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU) 

a. Disconnect the J4 ECU connector.  

b. Disconnect the L6 switch connector.  

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
