1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

a. Check the door lock motor. 

1. Apply battery voltage to the door lock motor and check operation of the door lock motor. 

OK

If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly. 

b. Check the door lock position switch. 

1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE 
FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).  

1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH (See 

REASSEMBLY )  

3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 DOOR TRIM BRACKET (See REASSEMBLY )  

8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR ARMREST COVER LH  

10. INSTALL COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )  

11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window) 

(See REASSEMBLY )  

13. INSTALL FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

14. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH (See REASSEMBLY )  

15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

REAR DOOR LOCK (FOR DOUBLE CAB)
