Maximum electrode gap for used spark plug: 1.4 mm (0.0551 in.)

If the gap is greater than the maximum, replace the spark plug.

Electrode gap for new spark plug: 1.0 to 1.1 mm (0.0394 to 0.0433 in.)

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER Refer to REMOVAL .

2. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE Refer to REMOVAL .

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT Refer to REMOVAL .

4. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

a. Disconnect the 6 ignition coil connectors.

b. Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coils.

5. REMOVE SPARK PLUG

a. Using a 16 mm plug wrench, remove the 6 spark plugs.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG

a. Using a 16 mm plug wrench, install the 6 spark plugs.

Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

a. Install the 6 ignition coils with the 6 bolts.

Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf)

b. Connect the 6 ignition coil connectors.

3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT Refer to INSTALLATION

4. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE Refer to INSTALLATION

5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER Refer to INSTALLATION
