REMOVAL

REMOVE TIMING BELT 

a

Remove the timing belt (See TIMING BELT)

REMOVE AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) 

a

Remove the air switching valve (See AIR SWITCHING VALVE (FOR BANK 1) )  

b

Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils

REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 

a

Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors   

b

Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils

REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL)  

5

REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR ASSEMBLY (See CAMSHAFT POSITION

INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING PULLEY LH (See INSTALLATION)  

6

INSTALL CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )  

7

INSTALL TIMING BELT (See INSTALLATION)

CHECK NO. 1 CYLINDER TO TDC / COMPRESSION (See INSTALLATION)  

9

INSPECT VALVE CLEARANCE (See VALVE CLEARANCE)  

10

INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION)  

11

INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 

a

Disconnect the 4 ignition coil connectors Torque: 7.5 N.m (76 kgf.cm, 66 In.lbf)    

b

Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coils   

12

INSTALL AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) 

a

Install the air switching valve (See INSTALLATION )   

13

INSTALL TIMING BELT COVER 

a

Install the timing belt cover (See INSTALLATION)
