• The ventilation seat control unit is equipped with the fail-safe function.
• When a malfunction occurs in the system as per the following, the ventilation seat control unit stops all out-

puts. The system enters in the system turns OFF position.

*: System voltage is the voltage between ventilation seat control unit power source and the ground.

NOTE:

When the system enters in the fail-safe mode again after performing resetting procedure, perform diagnosis.

Malfunction

Malfunctioning condition

Reset procedure

Ventilation motor system open circuit

In ventilation seat mode, ventilation motor
system open circuit is detected for 10 seconds
or more

Turn OFF key switch and turn ON key
switch again. System is reset

Ventilation motor system short circuit

In ventilation seat mode, heater unit system
short circuit is detected for 0.2 seconds or
more

Turn OFF key switch and turn ON key
switch again. System is reset

Heater unit system open circuit

In heated seat LO mode, heater unit system
open circuit is detected for 0.1 seconds or
more

Turn OFF key switch and turn ON key
switch again. System is reset

Heater unit system short circuit

In heated seat LO mode, heater unit system
short circuit is detected for 0.1 seconds or
more

Turn OFF key switch and turn ON key
switch again. System is reset

System voltage out of range

System voltage* of ventilation seat control unit
is out of operation range (8.5 V - 16.5 V)

• When system voltage* returns within nor-

mal range after more than 0.5 seconds,
system recovers

• When recovering, system returns to the

same status as previous
