REAR AXLE – 

General Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

The rear axle is a banjo-type semi-floating type and
provides the following characteristics:

D

The rear wheel bearing is of an anti-mud
enhanced type.

D

In order to improve driveability at muddy road,
helical LSD are available as optional equipment.

D

For vehicles with ABS, the ABS rotor is
press-fitted to the axle shaft.

D

In order to improve stream-crossing
performance, a vent plug is fitted to the upper
part of the axle housing.
