3. Check that the oil is not noticeably dirty.
4. Install the filler plug and new gasket, and tighten 

them to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 32 

± 2 Nm

Filler plug

1. Remove the filler plug and gasket.
2. Remove the drain plug and gasket, and then drain 

the oil.

3. Install the drain plug and new gasket, then tighten 

them to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 32 

± 2 Nm

4. Fill with gear oil API classification GL-3 SAE 75W-

85 or API classification GL-4 SAE 75W-85 until 
the level comes to the lower portion of filler plug 
hole.

Quantity: 2.5 L

5. Install the filler plug and new gasket, then tighten 

them to the specified torque.

Tightening torque: 32 

± 2 Nm

A/T CONTROL RELAY CHECK

A/T control relay

1. Removal the A/T control relay.

2. Use the jumper leads to connect A/T control relay 

terminal 2 to the negative battery terminal and 
terminal 1 to the positive battery terminal.

3. Check the continuity between A/T control relay 

connector terminals 3 and 4 while alternately 
connecting and disconnecting the jumper leads 
from the battery terminals.

4. If there is a malfunction, replace the A/T control 

relay.

SOLENOID VALVE CHECK

1. Use the M.U.T.-III to measure the A/T fluid 

temperature and check that the A/T fluid 
temperature is 20

°C.

2. Disconnect the A/T control solenoid valve 

assembly connector.

3. Measure the resistance between the solenoid 

valve terminals.

4. Check that the measured values are within the 

standard values at items 1 and 3.

5. If within the standard value, check the power 

supply and the earth circuits.

6. If not within the standard value, drain the A/T fluid 

and remove the valve body cover.
