4. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

NOTE:

Lubricate the inner lip of the crankshaft rear seal with clean 
engine oil.

5. Use the special tools to install the rear oil seal.  

6. Using the special tools, install the crankshaft rear oil slinger.

7. Install the oil pan. For additional information, refer to OIL PAN - 4X2, 4.6L , OIL PAN - 

4X2, 5.4L or OIL PAN - 4X4 .  

8. Install the flexplate or the flywheel. For additional information, refer to FLYWHEEL - 

MANUAL TRANSMISSION or FLEXPLATE - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION .
