38. Install the engine air cleaner and the air cleaner outlet pipe.  

39. Install the radiator air deflector.  

40. Connect the battery ground cable. 

41. Fill the engine with clean engine oil.  

42. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE 

COOLING - F150 PICKUP .  

OIL PAN - 4X2, 5.4L 

CAUTION: The oil pump must be primed prior to starting the engine.

Removal 

1. Remove the radiator air deflector. 

1. Remove the screws.  

2. Remove the radiator air deflector.

2. Remove the generator. For additional information, refer to GENERATOR .  

3. Disconnect the throttle body cam. 

1. Disconnect the accelerator cable.  

2. Disconnect the speed control actuator cable.  

3. Remove the accelerator return spring.
