Refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS to verify if model is equipped with cylinder head or engine coolant 
temperature sensor.

Vehicle speed information is provided by the anti-lock brake system. For test procedures, see 
appropriate ANTI-LOCK article in BRAKES.

Flash Vehicle Identification Block needs to be reprogrammed. See FLASH VEHICLE 
IDENTIFICATION BLOCK PROCEDURE
 under PROGRAMMING PCM.

Ensure aftermarket performance products are not installed before replacing PCM. Replace PCM. See 
PROGRAMMING PCM.

(9)

DTC P1000 is ignored in KOEO and KOER On-Demand Self-Test. If DTC P1000 is retrieved from 
Continuous Memory, go to Test QC , step 1).

Perform Rear Electronics Module (REM) self-test. Go to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS 
NETWORK - LS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT for complete DTC listing and test 
procedures.

(11)

See appropriate CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT for 
test procedures.

(12)

DTC P1582 indicates the PCM has data available concerning the passive restraint system, do not 
replace PCM. See appropriate AIR BAG article in RESTRAINTS for diagnostic procedures.

(13)

DTC P1636 indicates PCM has lost communication with Inductive Signature Chip (ISC). Replace 
PCM as necessary. See PROGRAMMING PCM.

(14)

A secondary module has requested the PCM to illuminated the MIL. See appropriate SELF-
DIAGNOSTICS - EEC-V - BI-FUEL article to diagnose Alternate Fuels Control Module (AFCM).

(15)

DTC is transfer case related. For test procedures, see appropriate DIAGNOSIS article in 
TRANSFER CASES.
