2. Close the hood to adjust the hood latch.

3. Adjust the hood latch and tighten the bolts.

If necessary, use Multi-Purpose Grease Spray F5AZ-19G209-AA or equivalent meeting Ford
specification ESR-M1C159-A to lubricate the latch.

4. Install the radiator grille. Refer to RADIATOR GRILLE .

FRONT DOOR LATCH

Removal and Installation

1. Raise the front door window to the closed position.

2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

3. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .

4. Position the watershield aside.

5. Remove the bolt and position the rear glass run channel aside.

6. Disconnect the actuating rods.

1. If equipped disconnect the actuating rod from the lock cylinder.

2. Release the locking clip.

3. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod from the front door latch.

7. Remove the screws and position the front door latch aside.

Discard the screws.
