When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

Set Condition:
The Electronic Overhead Module detects an internal switch failure.

Possible Causes

ELECTRONIC OVERHEAD MODULE

Diagnostic Test

1.

REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC OVERHEAD MODULE

When this code is set, the Electronic Overhead Module must be replaced.

Repair

Replace theElectronic Overhead Module in accordance with the Service Information.

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST-VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL
MODULES/FRONT CONTROL MODULE - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING)

Diagnostic Test

1.

VERIFY OPERATION OF THE ELECTRONIC OVERHEAD MODULE

Turn the ignition on.

With the scan tool, erase Electronic Overhead Module DTCs.

With the scan tool, activate the Electronic Overhead Module self test.

With the scan tool, read Electronic Overhead Module DTCs.

Does the scan tool display DTC B2217–EVIC/EOM/CMTC INTERNAL?

YES

>> Replace the Electronic Overhead Module in accordance with the service information.

Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST-VER 1. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL
MODULES/FRONT CONTROL MODULE - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING)

NO

>> Test complete.
