a

voltage

is

applied

through

fuse

and

wire

to

the

cross-axle

dif

ferential

lock

switch

(C748).

If

switch

is

operated,

a

voltage

is

applied

to

the

operating

valve

for

the

cross-axle

dif

ferential

lock

(B243)

through

wire

4517.

If

the

dif

ferential

is

locked,

the

dif

ferential

lock

control

switch

(F006)

connects

pin

C

34/745

of

the

V

IC

to

earth

via

w

ire

3408.

The

V

IC

will

activate

the

D

IP

through

I-CAN

to

switch

on

the

“dif

ferential

lock

switched

on”

indicator

.

When

the

ignition/starter

switch

(C841)

is

set

to

the

“contact”

position

(connection

between

points

1

and

4),

relay

G353

is

energised

via

w

ire

4001.

This

relay

supplies

power

to

the

m

irror

h

eating

switch

(C867)

and

the

mirror

adjustment

switch

(C868)

via

fuse

E

044

and

w

ire

1208.

When

the

m

irror

heating

switch

(C867)

is

operated,

power

is

supplied

to

m

irror

heating

B017

(driver

’s

side)

and

B018

(co-driver

’s

side)

via

w

ire

4532.

The

time-dependent

windscreen

heating

relay

(G397)

will

also

be

energised.

This

relay

w

ill

automatically

be

de-activated

after

12

minutes.

WINDSCREEN

HEA

T

ING

SYSTEM

If

the

vehicle

has

a

w

indscreen

heating

system,

the

windscreen

heating

relay

(G397)

will

be

energised

w

hen

the

m

irror

heating

syst

em

is

act

ivat

ed.

The

w

indscreen

heating

system

(B371)

will

be

supplied

w

ith

power

via

fuse

E

299.

The

windscreen

heating

relay

(G397)

will

automatically

be

de-activated

after

12

minutes.

MIRROR

ADJUSTMENT

The

outside

mirrors

are

adjusted

using

“joyst

ick”

swit

ches

C868

(driver

’s

side

and

co-driver

’s

side).

If

the

handle

of

the

switch

is

moved

from

the

rest

position

(centre)

in

a

particular

direction,

power

will

be

supplied

to

mirror

adjustment

motor

B

005

(left-hand

side)

or

B006

(right-hand

side)

and

the

m

irror

in

question

will

follow

the

movement

of

the

handle.

When

pins

10

and

5

are

connected,

mirror

adjustment

switch

C868

is

in

the

“right-hand

mirror”

position.

When

pins

8

and

4

are

connected,

the

m

irror

adjustment

switch

is

in

the

“left-hand

mirror”

position.

For

this,

wires

4770

and

4774

(left-hand

side)

or

4771

and

4774

(right-hand

side)

supply

power

to

the

m

otor

for

the

left/right

mov

ement.

Wires

4772

and

4774

(left-hand

side)

or

4771

and

4774

(right-hand

side)

supply

power

to

the

adjusting

motor

for

the

up

and

down

movement.

The

m

irror

adjust

m

ent

syst

em

can

only

be

used

if

the

contact

relay

(G353)

is

energised.
