The bearing pattern of the brake lining can be
improved by turning down the brake lining to a
diameter which is max. 1 mm smaller than the
drum diameter.

BRAKE DRUM

General
A brake drum may be used until the inside
diameter has reached the maximum permissible
value, as specified in the table below.
As soon as this diameter is exceeded, the brake
drum must be replaced.

drum is checked with the drum in position on the
hub, or on a brake dynamometer.

When assembling, always use new
bolts, unless an appropriate new nut can
be screwed by hand over the entire
length of the bolt thread.

First tighten to the specified torque, and
then apply the angular rotation.

Always achieve full angular
displacement, even if the bolt starts to
yield.
