(4) Place rubber bumper in position and press

down to seat the bumper.

(5) Install seat into vehicle. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

SEATS/SEAT - INSTALLATION).

REAR SEAT BACK COVER/
FOAM

REMOVAL

REMOVAL

(1) Remove seat from vehicle.
(2) Remove head restraint.
(3) Remove rear seat back.
(4) Disengage the J-strap retainer.
(5) Roll cover upward to hog rings. Cut hog rings

to free cover.

(6) Roll cover to top of seat back and remove head

restraint sleeve guides.

(7) Remove cover from seat back.

REMOVAL

(1) Remove seat from vehicle. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

SEATS/REAR SEAT - REMOVAL).

(2) Remove rear seat back. (Refer to 23 - BODY/

SEATS/REAR SEAT BACK - INSTALLATION).

(3) Disengage the J-strap retainer (Fig. 217) and

(Fig. 218).

(4) Roll flap back to access push pin fasteners (Fig.

219).

(5) Raise back flap to release the hook and loop to

access the J-strap and hog rings. Release J-strap and
cut the hog rings (Fig. 220).

(6) Disconnect the lower J-strap from the rod (Fig.

221).

(7) Disconnect the upper J-strap from the rod (Fig.

222).

(8) Roll cover upward to hog rings. Cut hog rings

to free cover (Fig. 223).

(9) Roll seat cover bottom to clear the foam (Fig.

224).

(10) Roll seat back cover to the hog rings. Cut hog

rings (Fig. 225) and (Fig. 226)

(11) Pull back panel free of the seat cover and

foam (Fig. 227) and (Fig. 228).

(12) Remove seat back cover from the foam (Fig.

229).

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

(1) Position cover at the top of seat back.
(2) Carefully roll cover down to the area that hog

rings are to be installed.

(3) Install hog rings.
(4) Roll cover downward.
(5) Engage the J-strap retainer
(6) Install new head restraint sleeve guides.

(7) Install seat back to seat cushion. Tighten bolts

to 40 N·m (30 ft. lbs.) torque.

(8) Install seat in vehicle.
(9) Install head restraint.
(10) Check seat back and headrest operation.

INSTALLATION - PT-27 ONLY

(1) Place seat back panel on to the foam. Roll seat

cover onto the back panel and foam (Fig. 230) and
(Fig. 231).
