CAB INTERNAL FAILURE (CONTINUED) When Monitored and Set Condition • When Monitored: Continuous. • Set Condition: If the Controller Antilock Brake (CAB) detects an internal malfunction, the DTC is set. POSSIBLE CAUSES FUSED B(+) CIRCUIT CONTROLLER ANTILOCK BRAKE For a complete Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Circuit Diagram (Refer to 5 - BRAKES/ELECTRICAL - SCHE- Diagnostic Test 1. MEASURE THE VOLTAGE OF THE CAB FUSED B(+) CIRCUIT Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the CAB harness connector. Note: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary. Measure the voltage of the Fused B(+) circuit at cavity 45 of the CAB Is the voltage between 12 and 16 volts? Yes >> Go to 2 No >> System voltage must be between 12 and 16 volts. Repair the voltage concern as necessary. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. 2. MEASURE THE VOLTAGE OF THE CAB FUSED B(+) CIRCUIT With the ignition on. Measure the voltage of the Fused B(+) circuit at cavity 47 of the CAB Is the voltage between 12 and 16 volts? Yes >> Replace the Controller Antilock Brake. (Refer to 8 - ELEC- TRICAL/ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES/CONTROL- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. No >> System voltage must be between 12 and 16 volts. Repair the voltage concern as necessary. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. ZH BRAKES - ABS ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTICS 5 - 89 |
